01About this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how People Remover at peopleremover.com handles information when you visit the site, edit photos, sign in or contact support. References to “we” and “our” mean the People Remover service. For privacy questions, contact support@peopleremover.com.

This policy covers information handled by our service. Google, our infrastructure providers and AI, moderation or payment providers also handle information under their own terms and privacy policies. Our Terms of Service explain the rules for using the service.

02Information we collect

  • Photos and edit selections: the image you submit, your selection mask, generated replacement image and final edited image.
  • Account information: your Google account identifier and verified email address when you sign in. We do not receive or store your Google password.
  • Usage and credit records: account and session identifiers, trial usage, signup credit grants, balances, charges, refunds, job identifiers, processing status and timestamps.
  • Payment records: provider transaction identifiers, package or subscription details, amounts, currency and billing periods needed to grant and reconcile credits. We do not store full card numbers or card security codes.
  • Support information: your email and the details or files you choose to send when requesting help.
  • Technical information: request and error information needed to operate the site. Hosting and processing providers may handle network information such as IP addresses in their service logs.

03How your photos are processed

Your photo stays in your browser while you make a selection. When you press Remove, we upload a copy of the photo and your selection mask to our cloud storage (Cloudflare R2). The photo is checked by our content moderation provider, Hive, and photos that break our content rules are not processed. We then send the photo and mask to our AI processing provider, KIE, which generates the new background.

We copy the generated image back to our storage. Your browser combines the brushed area of that image with your original photo, and the finished image is saved at its original dimensions so you can download it. Job details and credit records are stored in Cloudflare D1.

The whole photo is processed, not only the area you brush, so make sure you are comfortable sharing it before you submit. We never post your photos publicly or use them as examples without your permission.

04Why we use information

We use information to deliver requested photo edits, return results, maintain sessions, manage credit balances, process purchases and renewals, resolve errors, respond to support requests, prevent abuse and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations.

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, processing necessary to provide requested services is based on performing our agreement with you. Security, abuse prevention and service troubleshooting may rely on legitimate interests, subject to applicable rights and safeguards. Required financial records may be retained to meet legal obligations. Where consent is required for another use, we will seek it.

05Service providers and disclosure

  • Cloudflare: hosting and infrastructure, R2 image storage and D1 account, task and credit records.
  • KIE and its AI processing services: submitted photo and mask URLs, editing instructions, task identifiers and generated results.
  • Hive: content moderation. Hive receives a link to the submitted photo and checks it against our content rules before any AI editing. Photos that fail the check are not sent to KIE.
  • Google: account authentication. We receive the account identifier and verified email needed to sign you in.
  • Payment providers: purchase and subscription processing. The selected provider is identified during checkout.

06File links and security

Uploaded photos and results are stored at long, randomly generated links that are not listed or indexed anywhere. Anyone who has the exact link can open that file, so do not share a link you want to keep private.

The site uses HTTPS, and session cookies are set with standard browser protections. No system is completely secure. Contact support if you think a file or your account was accessed without your permission.

We may also disclose relevant records where required by law or necessary to address fraud, security incidents or legal claims. We do not sell your submitted photos or account information.

07Cookies and browser storage

We use a session cookie to recognize your guest or signed-in account and a temporary authentication cookie to complete Google sign-in securely. The session cookie normally expires after 30 days; the Google sign-in verification cookie has a short lifetime of approximately 10 minutes.

You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking required cookies may prevent sign-in, trial tracking or credit-based editing from working. Signing out ends the current account session; it does not by itself delete images, account data or payment records.

08Storage and retention

We keep your uploaded photos, selection masks and results so you can download your edits later and so we can help if something goes wrong. You can ask us to delete them at any time by emailing support@peopleremover.com, and we will remove them from our storage.

We keep account, job and credit records while your account is active and as long as needed to deliver results, reconcile balances and answer support requests. Payment records may be kept longer for accounting, fraud prevention or legal obligations.

Providers such as KIE may keep processing records under their own policies. Deleting a file from our storage does not delete a copy held by another provider.

09Your choices and privacy requests

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights to access or correct your personal information, request deletion, obtain a portable copy, restrict processing, object to certain processing or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. These rights can be subject to legal exceptions.

Email support@peopleremover.com to request account or image deletion or exercise a privacy right. Include the account email and relevant job reference or file link so we can locate the records. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity and will respond within the time required by applicable law. Do not send your password or full card details.

We may need to retain some transaction or abuse-prevention records even after a deletion request. You may also raise a concern with the relevant data protection authority where that right applies.

10International processing

Our infrastructure and AI providers may process information in countries other than your country of residence. Their hosting locations and applicable protections can differ. Contact us if you need more information about the providers involved before submitting sensitive images.

11Children’s privacy

The service is intended for adults as described in our Terms of Service. We do not knowingly offer accounts to children. If you believe a child has provided account information to us, contact support so we can investigate and address it. If your photo includes a child, make sure you have the appropriate rights and permissions to submit it.

12Policy updates and contact

We may update this policy when our features, providers or data practices change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. We will communicate material changes through the website or another appropriate channel.
